Jylhä wins OP-Pohjola Best Doctoral Thesis Prize

31.01.2013 Petri Jylhä won the OP-Pohjola Group Research Foundation Doctoral Dissertation Award, for his doctoral dissertation “Essays on the Economics of Hedge Funds”. Petri's PhD studies were supervised by Professor Matti Suominen. Currently Petri is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Imperial College Business School.

Matti Keloharju appointed Eero Kasanen Professor of Finance

07.02.2013 Professor Matti Keloharju has been invited to take up the new Eero Kasanen Chair established for the Aalto University School of Business. Professor Keloharju has worked as Professor of Finance at the Helsinki School of Economics and at the Aalto University School of Business since 1999.

Kaustia wins Emerald 2013 Awards for Excellence - Outstanding Paper Award

26.06.2013 Markku Kaustia and Milla Perttula won the Emerald 2013 Award for Excellence – Outstanding Paper Award for their article “Overconfidence and debiasing in the financial industry” published in Review of Behavioral Finance.

Bünyamin Önal's paper accepted in The Review of Financial Studies

29.08.2013 Article “Board expertise: Do directors from related industries help bridge the information gap?” by Nishant Dass (Georgia Institute of Technology), Omesh Kini (Georgia State University), Vikram Nanda (Georgia Institute of Technology), Bünyamin Önal, and Jun Wang (City University of New York) has been accepted for publication in The Review of Financial Studies.
