Research
The Department of Finance is an active research unit. The research covers a broad range of topics in the areas of Corporate Finance and Financial Markets. Current focus areas in research are:
- Behavioral Finance,
- Corporate Finance, and
- Asset Pricing
The department actively participates in international research seminars and conferences. Finance has a research seminar arranged within the Graduate School of Finance (GSF) joint with Hanken School of Economics. See the timetable for the Helsinki Finance Seminar.
Articles by current and former members of the faculty have been published in a wide range of top academic journals, such as Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis.
